Miata NC med 2.3 Duratec - OK ?

Har en förfrågan från en som vill vara anonym om det är OK att lägga i en 2.3 Duratec i en NC och rejsa med ? (B bil..) och mappa om med annat avgas ~ 200 hk och bra med moment :) Blir tuff att slå med Elisen ;)
Som jag tolkar det ja utifrån vilken 4:a som helst av samma märke ?

Vilken Mazdaradfyra som helst. Precis som du kan ha vilken Roverradfyra som helst.

2,5L finns ju också (och är en bättre motor än 2,3 men inte lika vanlig på skrotar).

Men! Specad effekt är ju med specat plenum, inte NCns plenum (orörd mellan gasspjäll och avgaspackning).
Jag har inte 100 koll men det brukar skilja på plenum för fwd och rwd.

Vill man köra med moddad Mazdafyra så borde dessa finnas att få tag på med nån racetimme kvar till renovering:

Men eftersom Roadsport tar med varvtalet så beräknas den till 274hk om den varvas till 9k, så de 300 Cosworth plockar ur den är knappt 10% mer (så man vinner inte så mycket, förutom ett trevligt ljud).

Jag har inte hittat bra bilder på plenum/insug-designen i Mazda6 och Mazda3 så jag har inte bilden klar för mig om de skulle fungera i motorrummet på en NC. Att tex ha gasspjället där bromsservot sitter är ju inte så praktiskt.
Men det verkar som om gaspjället sitter i bakkant av motorn.


Men, en moddad 2,3 som bara varvar 7000 ska väga 1160kg i B innan (ABS/TC etc), så med det bortkopplat så kanske det passar.
Då är ju insug (individuella trottlar för att skoja till det?), portning, kammar etc fritt och kan vara en resa på många år innan man tröttnar (eller blir nöjd, varför man nu skulle bli det). NCns topp (2,0 har samma borr som 2,3), kammar och insug ska tydligen vara en uppgradering tex.

Nu kanske detta redan var planen, men det är lika bra att svara på en massa frågor som inte är ställda, annars finns risken att nån annan (som missat några av de krångliga avvägningarna) kommer med en bil nästa år som blir placerad i A istället.

Innan ni shoppar en 200hk 2.3 Duratec från Cosworth, tänk på att en Ford Duratec inte är en Mazda MZR. MZR har alltid variabel insugskam. Men vad en Mazda MZR är om man sätter på en Duratec topp (sk VVT delete) vette katten. Detta belyser ju lite att det är svårt även med tillverkare, men vi drog linjen där.

Bästa tipset är nog MRZ 2,3 med MX-5 2,0 topp+kammar om ni ska hålla dig till Mazdadelar. 210-220 borde nog vara möjligt med MX5ans plenum och förbättrad avgassida.
